    Johana joined NPH Nicaragua when she was 9

    At the age of 9, Johana joined NPH with four siblings because their mother was too ill to care for them. Now 20, she is in her second year of service, working as a caregiver in the girls' house.  She is studying English and leads the home's traditional dance group. Read more...

    Improving the Dietary Needs of our Children

    Participants in the Youth Agriculture Program at NPH Guatemala Children and adults who grow up at an NPH home have a saying, "Once a pequeño, always a pequeño." They think of themselves as one large family, even after they leave NPH and start lives on their own. NPH celebrations serve as family reunions. This year, over 400 adult pequeños attended NPH Mexico's 54th Anniversary festivities.

    Friends Admitted to the 2008 Combined Federal Campaign

    Each year from September 1 to December 15, federal employees—civilian, military and postal—are invited to support eligible national and local non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world. Friends of the Orphans is included in the 2008 CFC as a member of Child Aid International.
